The Mestari Control is the newest silhouette in the KARHU collection and our latest model to feature a robust, slip-resistant outsole. Inspired by several prototypes from KARHU?s back catalogues, the Mestari Control utilizes a novel traction pattern found on an early 80s version of the Albatross. Our design team has reimagined this unique outsole to create a sturdier version of the Mestari with more grip for day-to-day use. Additionally, the upper of the Mestari Control features detailed tooling inspired by an older silhouette, the KARHU Balance.

Met Karhu ben jij verzekerd van tijdloze stijl en kwaliteit! Karhu is een Fins sportmerk dat is opgericht in het jaar 1916. Het merk begon in de beginjaren met het maken van producten zoals: ski’s, speren, schijven en hardloopschoenen. Het succes van dit merk is afkomstig vanuit de Olympische Spelen, waarbij het Finse team de sportschoenen van Karhu droegen en hierbij gouden medailles wonnen. Tegenwoordig is Karhu voornamelijk gefocust op trendy lifestyle sneakers. Op de sneakers van Karhu is het Olympische verleden wel nog steeds goed terug te zien: de herkenbare ‘M’ op de schoen, staat namelijk voor winnaar in het Fins!
